If we want to be like Jesus, we have to do what Jesus did—and His life was marked by prayer and devotion to the Father. In the midst of busyness, distractions, and spiritual hurry, we need a fresh call to slow down and seek God. When we pray, God hears, and He answers. That truth should stir our hearts to draw near to Him with faith and expectancy. That’s why we’re setting aside this night—to give ourselves fully to worship and prayer, to meet with God, and to be empowered by Him.
